Model UN Club: Empowering the Next Generation of Global Leaders

The Central College Model UN Club is in its inaugural year, and we are excited to begin building a new tradition of student leadership, diplomacy and global engagement. Our members are learning the art of research, collaboration and public speaking while preparing for high level competition on the national stage.

This April, our delegation will travel to ChoMUN XXVIII in Chicago, one of the most prestigious Model UN conferences in the country, hosted by the University of Chicago. Our six students will step into the role of international diplomats, addressing global challenges such as sustainability, labor rights and economic stability. These experiences develop far more than political knowledge. They build confidence, civic responsibility and leadership skills that extend well beyond the classroom.

Our goal is to ensure every student can participate, regardless of financial background. While we have received support from Student Senate and academic departments, we are still working to close the final funding gap to cover essential travel and lodging expenses.

Will you consider a gift of $50 or more to help our delegates reach Chicago? Every contribution makes a meaningful impact and helps launch a new tradition of excellence for Model UN at Central College.

Thank you for supporting our students and the future leaders they are becoming.
