Support the A Cappella Choir!

Dear Friends of the Central College A Cappella Choir,

The Central College A Cappella Choir is in its 94th exciting season, continuing to inspire and delight audiences near and far. This year, we hosted hundreds of students on campus for honor choir events, enjoyed a wonderful Fall Mini Tour across Iowa, and celebrated another round of beloved Christmas Candlelight Concerts. Our mission to inspire and enrich lives through artistic choral expression continues to thrive.

This spring brings something especially meaningful: an international performance tour to Peru. Each year, our season concludes with a tour that raises students’ artistic vision through challenging repertoire while introducing them to new venues and audiences. These experiences foster collaboration, cultural understanding and musical excellence that last well beyond the stage.

Spring performances include:
• Tuesday, February 24 at 6 PM, Singfest Honor Choir Concert, Douwstra
• Monday, March 9 at 7 PM, Collaborative Concert with Pella High School Choir, Douwstra
• Sunday, May 3 at 3 PM, Spring Concert honoring seniors, Douwstra
• Monday, May 18 at 7 PM, Pre-Tour Concert, St. Mark Lutheran Church, West Des Moines

A gift toward the A Cappella Choir’s Peru tour not only helps reduce costs for our singers but also strengthens our long-term choral mission. Your support ensures every student can participate fully in this transformative experience. Many of you know firsthand how meaningful these tours can be.

In addition to our performances, we will connect with and support a Peruvian nonprofit, Mi Pequeña Ayuda (My Small Help), which serves indigenous children who face significant disadvantages. These tours are about much more than travel. They are about service, connection and shared humanity.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 by March 19, and gifts of all sizes make a meaningful difference. Will you consider a gift of $50 or more to support our students?

Beyond financial support, your generosity inspires our singers to pursue excellence on stage and in the classroom. The arts have never been more important to our students or our society. We sing beauty, peace and joy into being, and we are deeply grateful for your support of this noble choral tradition.
