Help Women's Triathlon Reach Their Goal!

The Central College women’s triathlon team is excited to share our recent success and ambitious goals for the season ahead! We’ve seen incredible growth and dedication from our athletes, and we’re building on that momentum to make an even greater impact.

This season kicked off with a fantastic trip out east for our first official triathlon. Our athletes started strong with a first-place finish at the Trine University Splash and Dash. At the main event—the Duquesne University Invitational—we placed third among all Division III teams, with senior Luci Laidlaw '26 earning an impressive fifth-place finish. One of our first-time competitors, Madi Whalen '26, summed it up perfectly:

“Even though triathlon could be called an individual sport, it’s also very much a team sport. It’s great when you’re racing and you run into your teammates along the course and can cheer each other on.”

These results build on a historic 2024 season, when the team finished third in the nation at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championships. That success included a top-10 individual finish from All-American Adeline Koritz '28, six Scholar All-Americans, and head coach Jennie Hedrick-Rozenberg being named Division III Coach of the Year.

We are immensely proud of these achievements and the dedication of our student-athletes both on the course and in the classroom. None of it would be possible without the encouragement and generosity of our community.

Looking ahead, our competitive schedule includes events in Illinois, Texas, and the National Championships in Arizona. To fuel our continued growth, we need your support. This year, gifts will help us:

• Acquire state-of-the-art indoor bike trainers and transition bars.
• Purchase a much-needed new team trailer to accommodate our growing roster.
• Expand our travel budget so athletes can compete at elite events across the country.

Every gift, whether $50, $100, or more, provides the resources, motivation, and opportunities that make success possible.
