2025 Athletic Training

Athletic trainers are often seen as the people on the sidelines — taping ankles, handing out water bottles or carrying ice bags. But there’s so much more to what we do.

At Central College, our athletic training staff is responsible for emergency preparedness, injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation. We monitor mental health, manage concussions and provide daily care to keep student-athletes healthy and doing what they love.

We’re also the ones offering encouragement before the big game, a listening ear after a tough loss or a high five when recovery milestones are met. We are caregivers, mentors and advocates.

To continue offering this high level of care, we need your support.

Your gift to Central’s athletic training program helps us maintain and improve the tools we use every day. With your generosity, we hope to purchase several new NormaTec recovery systems and an updated E-stim machine — equipment that directly impacts the health and performance of our student-athletes.

Thank you for being part of the Central community, and for supporting the team behind the teams.
