Get Excited for Central Men's Basketball!

We are so excited to start another season of men’s basketball at Central College! We’re especially excited about how the team is working hard and building trust and relationships, both on and off the court.

My name is Joe Steinkamp. I am a Central basketball team alumnus, and now I’m very honored to be the head men’s basketball coach! I am extremely grateful for the experiences I had as a basketball player at Central and hope to share many of those great experiences with the team as we strive to play championship basketball. I know we will have a team our basketball family will love to follow!

We remain committed to providing our players with the best possible experience to compete and grow as individuals, students, and athletes. This includes providing extended travel and leadership development opportunities that have been an integral part of the Central men’s basketball program for the past 50 years. Unfortunately, we are still catching up financially from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Health and safety concerns forced the cancellation of our largest fundraisers —Tulip Time and our annual summer camps a couple years ago.

To continue this tradition, we’re asking our generous family of alumni and friends to help during this challenging time. Our goal is to raise $12,000 by December 15. Will you consider making a gift of $50 or more to help us reach our goal? Every gift makes a difference for our team!
