Men's Golf 2021

UPDATE: The Central College family stepped up in a big way! We've already met our initial goal of $5,000! THANK YOU to our donors so far. Because of the needs of the program, this year especially, we're increasing our goal by $2,000 for a final goal of $7,000. We hope you'll consider supporting the men's golf team! 

Your overwhelming support has meant the world to us. Without our annual fundraisers, we wouldn't be able to update and replace equipment as needed or offer incredible team experiences. YOU push us to succeed on and off the course!

In a year when seemingly everything turned upside down, one thing remained true: hope. There was hope for a cure, hope for people to come together to spread love and hope that athletic seasons would be able to continue.

It seemed like all hope was lost when a promising season came to a screeching halt last March. However, we maintained hope that things would return to normal and we would be able to play again. As a team, we came together and set goals to become better during our time away and to grow more on and off the course. We also shared hope our return to campus in August would bring with it a new fall season.

When the fall semester began, men’s golf was one of the few team sports able to compete in a new season. We felt lucky and thankful to attend a handful of meets and to host our second annual tournament at Bos Landen here in Pella. Looking ahead to the spring season, we cannot wait to compete again, and our team has high hopes for another successful season. We also remain hopeful about:

• A trip abroad to Scotland in June 2021 (conditions permitting) 
• Continued enhancement of the Ryerson Golf Practice Range 
• Recruiting the highest quality student-athletes to represent Central College men’s golf and our tradition of success in the classroom, on the courses and after graduation.

We hope you will take time to consider making a gift in support of our upcoming season and travel experiences. Every gift helps fund things like golf balls, hotel rooms, tournament entry fees, rain jackets and other gear, airfare and so much more. 

We know we cannot reach the same levels of success without the continued generosity of our outstanding family of alumni, businesses and loyal friends of Central men’s golf. With your amazing support, we will continue moving forward, building a championship attitude, both on and off the course, as we prepare for success beyond our time at Central.
