Wow! What a crazy 2020 we had. We hope your family is healthy and safe during these difficult times. Despite all of the uncertainties this past year has provided, we still have a lot to be proud of and are excited for what is to come for our young team.
Last fall we were able to have as close to a normal season as possible, concluding with the American Rivers Conference Championship. Our team of sophomores and freshmen ended up finishing in fourth place with two players being named All-Conference by placing in the top 10. The future is looking bright and we're excited to watch our women grow as a team. We're confident we will be back contending for Conference Championships soon.
Although our program did not have all the same setbacks as other programs or schools, we still felt the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tulip Time is incredibly important for not only the community of Pella, but also the women’s golf team. Our mini donut and strawberry lemonade stand provides us with our biggest fundraiser of the year and we certainly have felt the effects of it being canceled. Amidst the hurdles we remain committed to providing the best experience possible by helping them reach their goals both in the classroom and on the course. This includes being able to purchase equipment and fund extended travel opportunities once it is safe to continue those traditions.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 by Friday, March 19. Will you consider making a gift of $50 or more to help us reach our goal?
With your support, we are confident we will continue providing our women’s golf team members with the wonderful experiences that make Central such a special place to learn and grow. We’re grateful to have you as part of the Central women’s golf family. Go Dutch!
