Women's Basketball 2020

UPDATE: This is our first-ever campaign, so we didn't know what to expect, but sure enough, the Dutch stepped up in a big way! We've already met our initial goal of $6,000! THANK YOU to our challengers and donors thus far. Because of the needs of the program, this year especially, we're increasing our goal by $1,000 for a final goal of $7,000. What a year 2020 has been!! While COVID-19 pandemic has greatly impacted our school year and basketball season, we are still finding ways to grow as a team and basketball program. We could not be more excited about our team and think we will ride the momentum of the 2019-20 season into this year.

Last season’s accomplishments include:

• First conference tournament berth since 2004-05
• Most conference victories since 2001-02
• Most season victories since 2000-01
• Most road wins since 1997-98
• More than doubled number of conference and season wins of past two seasons
• Recorded first win over Luther College since 2014
• Recorded first win at Buena Vista University since 2009

This year’s cancellation of Tulip Time and summer sports camps had a big impact on our program’s finances. So this year we are asking our biggest fans and supporters to consider a gift in support of our women’s basketball program. Our goal is to raise a total of $6,000 by January 22! When we raise $3,000, we'll receive $3,000 from our challenge donors: Herb Blom '61, Gary Dirksen '69, Denny '07H & Kris Hanson, Justin '10 & Natalie Madsen and Dave '61 & Ardie Pals Sutphen '64. Will you consider making a gift of $50 or more to help us reach our goal?
