Giving Tuesday 2018

UPDATE 2:

We are incredibly grateful for all the support we've received from alumni, parents, students and faculty and staff today! We've reached not just one, but TWO matching gift challenges!

We can't help but wonder, are you up for one final challenge? An anonymous leader in our alumni community challenged the Central family to a third and final goal of an additional $5,000. If reached, this would bring our total on the day to $80,000 for the Journey Scholarship Fund! $40,000 from individual donors and another $40,000 matched by generous alumni challengers.

Make your gift before midnight and let's provide scholarship support for as many current and incoming Central College students as we can!

We reached our $25,000 goal! Thank you everyone who made a gift so far. Your support has been incredible.

Alumni Mike '89 and Amy Dietrich Eilers '88 matched the first $25,000 in giving, bringing today's total to more than $50,000 for the Journey Scholarship Fund!

Now a new generous alumnus has stepped forward to offer a second challenge. This anonymous donor pledges to match the next $10,000 dollar for dollar. 

It's not too late to make a big difference. Your gift will still be matched! Help us reach our new $35,000 goal!

We have a day for giving thanks. We have two days for shopping deals. Now we have #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving. Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. It is a day for individuals, communities and organizations around the world to unite for one common purpose: to celebrate and encourage giving to nonprofits.

Central would not be the great institution it is today without support from alumni and friends. Our goal is to raise $25,000 in one day. If we do, that amount will be matched thanks to the generosity of Mike '89 and Amy Dietrich Eilers '88. That would bring our total for the day to $50,000! 

The Journey Scholarship paves the way for students to experience Central. With over 99 percent of students receiving financial aid, many students would not be at Central if not for the generosity of donors. Take a moment today to show past, current, and future students why Central is special!
